Dr Ibrahim Narong as President of the Assalam Smart School Network signs an MOU with Madrasah Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiah that will lead towards the transfer of skills and systems to all Islamic schools under the Assalam Network.
The MOU was signed in Phuket in Oct 2013 with a $300,000 support from Temasek Foundation. According to Dr Ibrahim, “We want to learn what makes the Singapore education system the best in Asean.”
Dr Ibrahim shares his aspiration that all the schools under the Assalam network can improve and be excellent schools arising from this partnership with Al-Irsyad Singapore.
The auspicious ceremony was also attended by the advisor to the Thailand Minister of Education, Encik Suraporn Rattanachai; Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Temasek Foundation, Mr Benedict Cheong; and Deputy Secretary General Southern Border Province Administrative Center (SBPAC) Thailand, Dr Maroning Salaming.
